We’ve teamed up with Kaiser Permanente to provide doula support for clients!
Coverage Details: Includes 11 visits per pregnancy (prenatal and postpartum) and continuous support during labor/birth.
Support Types: Covers vaginal and cesarean birth support, plus postpartum care for up to 12 months after.

To check for doula benefits with Kaiser Permanente online, sign into kp.org, navigate the “Benefits” section, and select “Coverage Documents” or :Summary of Benefits” to search for maternal support services.
Doula coverage is typically available for Medi-Cal and specific commercial plans in California, Colorado, and Oregon, often covering up to 11 prenatal/postpartum visits and labor support.

It is the client’s job to find a doula that accepts Kaiser Permanente Insurance. Your provider, at Kaiser Permanente, may have a doula list, however they often give this list within the last 2 months of pregnancy. By that time, most doulas are fully booked.
Search for doulas in your area and ask if they accept Kaiser Insurance.

To check doula coverage with Health Net, call the Member Services number on the back of your ID card, as coverage is a included benefit for eligible pregnant members, including those with Medi-Cal or certain HMO plans.
